Testers — What they are & how they differ
Curious about tester perfumes? Here’s a quick guide.
What is a tester?
A tester is an authentic perfume bottle produced by the brand for counters and stores to let customers try the fragrance. It’s the same fragrance juice as the retail version.
What’s different from retail boxes?
- Packaging: Usually a plain cardboard box (sometimes no cap or with “Tester—Not for Sale” marking). Minimal design; great value.
- Accessories: Some testers come without a cap; the atomizer is identical or functionally equivalent.
- Barcodes/labels: May include “Not for Sale” or different batch coding—still 100% genuine.
Why are testers cheaper?
Lower packaging cost and marketing—not lower quality. The scent, concentration, and performance are the same as their retail counterparts.
Warranty & authenticity
Our testers are sourced from trusted suppliers. They’re brand-new and authentic. As with all perfumes we sell, authenticity is guaranteed.
Returns for testers
Testers are not returnable unless the bottle arrives damaged or leaking.
Claims must include clear photos and a short video and be reported within 24 hours of delivery so we can investigate and arrange a replacement or refund if approved.
Who should buy testers?
- Fragrance lovers who value juice over box art.
- Shoppers seeking the best price for a genuine scent.
- Anyone building a collection and doesn’t need the retail cap/box.
